Chris Mooney

Chris Mooney (Bujinkan Shidoshi) is a volunteer instructor at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, where he began his Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu training in 2008. Chris visited Japan for training in 2015 with Hatsumi Soke, Nagato Daishihan, Noguchi Daishihan, and Someya Daishihan.

In 2024, Chris earned his teaching license (passing the Godan test under Noguchi Sensei at the Chicago Tai Kai & receiving his Shidoshi Menkyo). As a longtime dojo assistant, he has helped maintain the dojo and supports the existing adult and kids classes.

In 2025, Chris received his rokudan menkyo. He is also a 1st Kyu in Shotokan Karate.

Chris also served as an assistant team member supporting Nagato Daishihan during his U.S. visit from Japan in 2025.

Chris teaches Mondays and Wednesdays, in the evening.
