Announcing the Passing of Michael Jervis: It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our student and friend, Michael Jervis. A dedicated and inspiring member of our dojo, Michael was a regular presence in class, often training three or four times a week. His commitment and passion for his family and Budo Taijutsu were an inspiration to us all, and he will be deeply missed.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, September 6. Michael’s obituary and additional information are available at https://www.routsong.com/obituaries/michael-jervis. All members of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, as well as friends and family, are welcome to attend. Immediately following the 11 AM funeral services, the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo will host an open house to celebrate Michael’s life. Food and refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome to attend.
Out of respect for Michael Jervis and to allow our dojo community to attend his funeral services, there will be no children's or adult's classes at the dojo on Saturday, September 6.
With permission from his family, a GoFundMe page has been created to help with funeral costs and to support his family during this difficult time. Please consider contributing if you are able, and keep his family in your thoughts.
