Fundamental Flexible Weapons Workshop
Focus on the core flexible weapons of the Bujinkan
$40 per person
All Bujinkan ranks are welcome to attend
The Dayton Bujinkan Dojo will host a Fundamental Flexible Weapons Workshop on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11 AM to 4:30 PM. This workshop will focus on the core flexible weapons of the Bujinkan, including the kusari fundo and kyoketsu shoge, giving participants a structured introduction to their unique mechanics and applications. Training will cover fundamental movements, exploration of the kihon happo with each flexible weapon, methods of trapping, and nage nawa rope‑throwing skills. All attendees will have the opportunity to develop practical proficiency while deepening their understanding of these traditional tools. Jeff Ochester will be teaching the seminar with assistance from dojo senior instructors.
All Bujinkan students and approved guests are welcome to attend, and beginners are encouraged to join. We recommend wearing a full do-gi training uniform and bringing a notebook.
The event is reserved for young adult and adult members of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, past workshop participants, and approved guests. (If you haven't attended an event at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo before, please request attendance prior to registering to avoid any issues.) Registration is free, pay at the door.
