Andy Russell

Andy Russell (Bujinkan Shihan) is the founder of the Fairfield County Bujinkan Dojo and serves as a volunteer instructor at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo. His training began in Merseyside, UK in 1985, later continuing with the Central Ohio Bujinkan Dojo starting in 2000. He achieved the rank of Shodan in 2007 and advanced to Judan in 2017. Andy frequently visits Japan to attend classes with senior Bujinkan instructors, including Hatsumi Soke, Nagato Daishihan, Noguchi Daishihan, Someya Daishihan, and others. Andy is currently ranked Juyondan (Fu-i Happo Biken Menkyo) in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. 

Andy has actively volunteered for major Bujinkan events, notably serving as a primary team member for Nagato Daishihan from Japan during his 2021 and 2025 U.S. Tai Kai tours.

Andy leads focused training sessions at the Fairfield County Bujinkan Dojo and conducts seminars at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, while also offering instructional support for regular classes whenever needed.
