Pete Reynolds

Bujinkan Daishihan

Pete Reynolds is an American Bujinkan practitioner from West Palm Beach, Florida. He has trained in the Bujinkan since 1986 and has lived and trained in Tokyo, Japan, since 2000. He began training at the age 19.

Pete moved to Japan in 2000 to train closer to the ‘source’, Masaaki Hatsumi Soke. He was a regular student of Hatsumi Soke’s Ayase Budokan and Bujinkan Hombu classes during Hatsumi Soke’s active teaching time. Pete has received four recognitions from Hatsumi Soke; the Bujinkan Gold Medal (spring 2011), the Bufu Ikkan Award (summer 2014), the Yushu Shihan Award (autumn 2015), and the Dai-shihan Award (autumn 2017).

Pete leads class at his Fudoushin Bujinkan Dojo, which holds a weekly class on Fridays from 11:00 to 13:00 at Nanakura Jinja near Nezu Station in central Tokyo. The dojo name, Fudoushin (不動心), means “immovable spirit or heart,” a concept Hatsumi Soke discussed for many years. The dojo studies, explores, and shares the martial arts of Hatsumi Soke.

Since 2001, Reynolds has taught seminars in the United States, Sweden, Germany, England, Greece, the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Australia, and Israel. His classes and seminars concentrate on Hatsumi Soke’s budo, message, and feeling.

Pete is dojo-cho of the Fudoushin Bujinkan Dojo in Nezu (Tokyo), Japan. He also maintains the Fudoushin Bujinkan Dojo Facebook page.
