Tai Chi Classes

Taught by Tai Chi Instructor Carmine Anastasio

Taiji (Tai Chi) is a multi dimensional movement system incorporating martial, meditative, and energetic orientations. Tai chi improves balance and lower body strength as well as limberness and general flexibility. These courses are designed as an introduction to all the basic orientations included in tai chi practice. Students will learn the yang style short form as well as push hands practice.

Carmine Anastasio will be teaching the program and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with decades of taichi study. He teaches the yang form, focusing on deepening the understanding of the essential combination of breath and movement in the meditative taichi forms. Carmine will also share in the connections to the defensive martial aspects of the forms in the taichi series.

Taichi is fun for all ages and aids in keen awareness and development of balance in stillness, in movement and in the life force of integrated mind, body and spirit through meditative movement.
