Class Types & Descriptions

  • Class dedicated to teaching the basics of Budo Taijutsu. Recommended for beginners or for those wanting to review 9th kyu through 6th kyu material from the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo curriculum. Any level adult student may attend.

  • Class dedicated to teaching "technique and application" of Budo Taijutsu. Minimum rank recommendation is 5th kyu. Suggested for shodan and above. Incorporates 5th kyu and above material from the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo curriculum. Advanced concepts, ryu-ha kata, weapons training and the yearly Bujinkan theme are incorporated into this class.

  • Class focuses on training adult students of any rank. Any rank may attend, including new students. The instructor determines what material to teach based on the attending student's rank.

  • Class focuses on resistance and principle-based training incorporating ground training (ne waza), free response sparring (yakusoku randori), and submission training. For 5th Kyu+ adults only.

  • Class dedicated to youth and young adult students ages six through 13. The class attendees are broken up by age during training to work on specific material from the curriculum.

  • A class designed to sharpen your striking skills and build endurance through junan taiso exercise and dakentaijutsu striking concepts.
