Paul Masse Seminar

Paul Masse is teaching two exclusive seminars in the USA during November! Paul will be in Denver, Colorado on November 1-3, 2019, and Chicago Illinois on November 8-10, 2019.


Paul has lived in Japan for over a decade studying Soke’s art. Paul often translates Soke’s classes and runs the Kasumian Study Center in Noda, where he helps other people deepen their understanding of the Bujinkan. Paul has an extremely intimate knowledge and understanding of Soke's training, and he delivers it in a dynamic way that benefits practitioners of all levels. Paul will be exploring the theme of the year, by reviewing basic Bujinkan concepts via the kihon and sanshin. This is an event that practitioners of all skill levels will find this event informative and rewarding.

Shodan-Yondan Work Shop



TBD November 2019 | Dayton Bujinkan Dojo



The Dayton Bujinkan Dojo is holding a blackbelt seminar focusing on Shodan, Nidan, Sandan and Yondan material from its adult student training curriculum. The workshop is open to active adult students of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo or pre-registered students who are pre-approved. Students attending must be 3rd Kyu or above to attend the training.


The workshop is free for active students of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo.


Training will take place from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. From 4:00-4:30 pm, demonstrations will be held.


The workshop will focus on intermediate and advanced training drills, kata and strategies taught at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo. Please where a full do-gi and bring a notebook.

Dan Klug Seminar & Yearly Winter Celebration

The Dayton Bujinkan Dojo is holding its Mini Dai Komyo Sai Winter Celebration in January 2020. What is a Dai Komyo Sai? It is the celebration of Hatsumi Soke's birthday, and another year of successful training in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo. All students, friends, family and guests are welcome to attend the training and/or dinner celebration.


As is tradition, Dan Klug (Bujinkan Judan, boxer and BJJ brown belt) from Tacoma Washington is the featured guest instructor for the event. Dan has been training since the early 1980s, has been to Japan more than a dozen times, and holds regular classes weekly in Washington State. An original student of Kurt Rittenhouse Martial Arts in Kettering, Ohio, Dan has trained in the Bujinkan Arts under Hatsumi Soke, Nagato Shihan, and Noguchi Shihan, and in the past with Manaka Sensei and Muramatsu Sensei. His unique style of Budo Taijutsu attracts students from all disciplines of martial arts. Dan has been teaching seminars at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo since 1997.


Students of any rank may participate; new students are encouraged to attend!

Duncan Stewart Seminar

Duncan Stewart returns to the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo in 2020! Jess Attilli of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo is hosting a training seminar featuring guest instructor Duncan Stewart (Bujinkan Dai-Shihan) on the weekend of May 1-3, 2020.


Duncan has been practicing martial arts for three+ decades. He lived in Japan for 10 years studying classical Japanese martial arts at the Bujinkan Dojo under Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi, Dai Shihan Toshiro Nagato, Dai Shihan Yukio Noguchi and Shihan Kennichi Someya. Duncan is a licensed senior shidoshi-kai instructor of Bujinkan Dojo Budo Taijutsu. He has also received the Golden Dragon Award, Embu Excellence Award, Bufu Ikkan Shin Gi Tai Award, Yushuu Shihan and Dai-Shihan certification directly from Hatsumi Soke at the Honbu Dojo in Japan. He has been practicing the martial arts since 1984 and also studied Nihon Buyo (Japanese Samurai dance) under Noguchi Dai Shihan at the Bujinkan Honbu Dojo. Duncan returned to Tasmania from Japan in 2013 and is the Dojo-cho (head instructor) of the Bujinkan Tasmania Toku Bu Ryu Sui Dojo.


Duncan will be exploring the theme of the year by reviewing basic Bujinkan concepts via the Kihon Happo and San Shin no Kata. This is an event that practitioners of all skill levels will find informative and rewarding. The training schedule and details of the event are below:

  • Friday, May 1, 2020 | 7-9 pm | $40 per person
  • Saturday, May 2, 2020 | 10:30 am - 4:30 pm (break @ 12:30 pm) | $85 per person
  • Sunday, May 3, 2020 | 10:30 am - 2 pm | $75 per person

Weekend discount cost of $150 per person for all three days.​ Bujinkan members of all levels are welcome. All training is held at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo (3180 Kettering Blvd, Moraine OH 45439).
