Kid's Class Schedule & Teachers

The Dayton Bujinkan Dojo offers classes for children ages six and up. Below is the current Class Schedule for the Youth & Young Adult Program.

Wednesdays: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Saturdays: 9:30 - 10:30 am

Students are encouraged to attend both classes per week. However, the instructors know how busy a young adult's life is (school, after school sports, extra-curricular activities, playtime, etc), so we recommend scheduling to attend at least one class per week for your child. On occasion, due to special events held on Saturdays every other month, a Saturday class will be rescheduled. The instructors will be in contact with you in the event this occurs.

Kid's Instructors

Marty & Pam Dunsky

Marty & Pam began training in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu martial arts after seeing their children start in 1995. Now, with two of their three children off to college, and one child training at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, they enjoy teaching the Youth & Young Adult program to stay involved with children.

Marty & Pam have been instructors at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo since 2000. In 2004, they became two of four co-owners of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, and enjoy the family atmosphere that the dojo provides.

Marty & Pam visit Japan yearly to continue their own martial arts training. Marty's career is as a licensed Emergency Room Physician (D.O.), where he practices at two Dayton hospitals. Pam's career is as a business executive for a global financial corporation in the Miami Valley. Both volunteer their time to teach the Youth & Young Adult Program at the Dojo.

Kevin Dunsky

Kevin began training in 1995 at age five as a youth student of Kurt RittenHouse Martial Arts School. Training ever since, Kevin assists in many of the Kid's classes regularly. Kevin has been fortunate enough to visit Japan twice for training, and competes regularly in the NAGA events held regionally.

Mike Ockerman

Mike began training in 2001 at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo. He assists in the Kid's classes when needed and teaches an adult class every Monday night. Mike earned his Shodan (1st Degree Blackbelt) in 2007 while training in Japan. He is also an accomplished musician, playing guitar and bass for local bands in the Miami Valley.
